Self storage provides a convenient and flexible option for individuals and businesses who need extra space to store their belongings or inventory.

Lock n Store, in Western Australia, offers customers a variety self storage solutions. This is how self storage works at Lock n Store:

  1. Choose which facility suits you best in Rockingham or Mandurah.
  2. Select a unit – use our ‘help me choose’ calculator to determine how much space you need. Select the available size on the website.
  3. Reserve your unit – once you have chosen your preferred unit size and location, complete the signup form, provide your preferred method of payment and execute the storage agreement.
  4. Move in – Once you signed the storage agreement and payment for your first month has been received by Lock n Store you will be sent a unique access pin to access the gate at your chosen facility. You will need to buy a lock from our box shop. With an agreement and a lock, you can move into your unit.
  5. Access your unit – You’ll have access to your unit 24/7, so you can retrieve your items whenever you need to. If you require the assistance of a staff member, make sure you check the staffed hours for each centre.
  6. Pay your bill – your payment will be automatically deducted from your nominated bank account or credit card each month. Storage agreements are month to month contracts, which means with a months’ notice you can vacate terminate your agreement at any time.

Lock n Store offers a wide variety of storage unit sizes from 4.5 to 32sqm. Lock n Store also offers hardstand storage spaces for caravans, boats, jet ski’s and trailers. Availability of all unit sizes is limited.

Make sure you check another location if the unit size you are seeking is not available at your preferred centre.

Self-storage units at Lock n Store are rented on monthly agreements, which can be terminated with a months’ notice.

An admin fee of $50 is charged when you move into a unit and a move our fee of $25 is charged upon exit. If your unit is left unclean, a cleaning fee of $65 will be charged.

Simple, follow this link and you will be guided through a seamless process to lock in your unit. You will be required to provide proof of identification, alternative contact details and credit card details at the time of booking.

  1. You can pay for your storage unit via credit card or direct debit. Storage unit payments are made automatically, monthly on the anniversary of the day you first signed up for the unit.

Lock n Store is no longer able to accept cash.

When you sign your storage agreement, you will be given a unique gate code to access your chosen facility. Once you are within your chosen facility, you’ll need either a combination or key lock to access your unit. You can purchase a lock from our box shop here.

Lock n Store storage facilities have the following security features:

  • Gates which require a pin pad to access.
  • Security cameras.
  • On site staff.
  • Alarm systems.
  • After hours help desk.

Personal locks on each unit.

You cannot store hazardous materials at Lock n Store sites, doing so is a breach of your storage agreement.

The following items are examples of what cannot be stored in a Lock n Store facility: 

  • Hazardous materials: Any materials that are flammable, explosive, or toxic are not allowed in self storage facilities. This includes gasoline, propane tanks, fireworks, chemicals, and pesticides.
  • Perishable items: Food, plants, and other perishable items are not allowed in self storage units, as they can attract pests and cause damage to the unit and other belongings.
  • Illegal items: Any items that are illegal or stolen cannot be stored in a self storage facility. This includes firearms, stolen property, and illegal drugs.
  • Living creatures: Pets and other living creatures, including insects and reptiles, are not allowed in self storage units.

Customers are encouraged to read their storage agreement carefully to understand what is not allowed to be stored in a Lock n Store storage unit.

Yes, you can upgrade your storage unit at any time, subject to availability. If you would like to upgrade the size of your unit, please contact our friendly team during staffed hours at each facility.

Yes, you can access your storage unit 24/7 Monday to Friday.

You can terminate your self storage agreement at Lock n Store by contacting a friendly member of our team during operating hours. To contact our team call 1300 084 696 or visit one of our self storage locations in Rockingham and Mandurah.

  1. Lock n Store charges a $35 late fee for payments that are over 3 days late. 

You can make a payment via the website by clicking here if your nominated payment method has not gone through. Alternatively, you can contact a friendly member of the Lock n Store team, who can assist with overdue payments.

If your payment is overdue, you will be locked out of your unit until payment is provided in accordance with your storage agreement.

Yes, check out at the range of moving and packaging supplies in our Box Shop. You can pay online and pick up at one of the convenient Lock n Store locations.
